Well, moving anyway. Will update with new bloog address when it’s looking a bit prettier. :-)

Wow, it’s been over a month since my last post. Needless to say it’s all been rather busy. I’ll try and be a bit better this month (promise!).

It’s been such a busy month! I was procrastinating this morning and I read this:

I hate when a week goes by and i haven’t written in my blog. Most of the time, it’s because i’m too tired, don’t know what to write, procrastinate, etc. but this time i was just too busy to steal time for my beloved blog. (a crafty vegan: Meet the Improved Craft Corner)

I thought how I do love my little blog, but she is very neglected at the moment and it feels awful. I have a big deadline next week and then hopefully everything will be back to normal and I can go back to blogging regularly again. I’m determined not to let get Christmas preparations/celebrations make me TOO busy. That’s the hope anyway… :-)

Suddenly realised the shockingly huge amount work that I have due for most parts of life in the next couple of weeks (+ nanowrimo), so I will be trying hard NOT to post over that time. If you do notice any posts then feel free to send me an email abusing me and telling me to get back to work! :-)

I’ve been waiting very impatiently for the past few days for Nanowrimo to start, because I’ve really felt like writing but felt like I was cheating or something. Anyway, I decided that I won’t be stressed out by the need to create some 1-2000 words a day, especially as the next two weeks look to be horror weeks as far as time and lack of it goes, but that I would write at least fifteen minutes a day, everyday. So even though when it comes down to writing, I suddenly couldn’t think of ANYTHING. I perservered and after about an hour, I had some 530 words and some idea where I was going, yay! Even if I only do fifteen minutes, as is the goal, it’s still a paragraph each day and it will be a tenth of a novel, and what I do more like today is just a bonus.

Maybe a chlorine truck did have that accident… there was an incredibly distinct smell of it in the air again this morning.

Or maybe I’m just developing a brain tumour.

Miffy just learnt down. It wasn’t as easy as sit and it will take lots more reinforcement. The idea was to get her to sit and then hold a piece of food in your hand (palm facing floor) until she lies down to try and get it. As soon as she flops down, she gets the treat. Took a while for this to happen, she was more likely to just get up and go sniffing but after about three or so times of her doing it, she worked it out and just started flopping like a natural.

the air was amazing this morning, it was like being at the pool, it seemed to both be foggy and wet which was quite strange because every time I’ve seen fog, it just lifts to a perfectly clear day. Maybe a chlorine truck had an accident overnight, but there was the most amazing wet mineral smell in the air. Is there a difference between fog and mist?

I tried training my very cute little 9 week old puppy for the first time just then. I used the method in Victoria Stilwell’s “it’s Me or the Dog”, I held a little treat and let her sniff it but not have it. She quickly gets bored of trying to get it and sits down, at that precise moment she gets the treat. This gets repeated a few times and then you add “sit” with a hand signal.

Anyway, she picked it up real quick! It helps that she is a complete guts and will do anything for food.

Here’s a pic of her just after she’d just learnt it!
